About the event
The pace of geopolitical change in 2023 continues to impact on the United Kingdom and its people. From the ongoing illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine to China’s epoch-defining positioning in the Taiwan Strait to the ever-present shadow of cyber-attack, we are facing a period of international instability and division.
The global strategic environment has never been more fragile. The United Kingdom must work with like-minded partners around the world to sustain and safeguard the international order and our shared values.
General Bradshaw sets out the growing importance of deterrence and defence against a global theatre of conflict and hostility, coupled with the vital significance of acting now as well as planning for the future.
