About the tour

Walk through the streets of Chelsea as expert guide Rav Singh brings alive stories from the Kingdom of Lahore and the Sikhs.

Starting from the National Army Museum, this guided tour will visit The Punjab Frontier Force Chapel in St Luke’s Church detailing how Sikhs became a significant part of the British Indian Army. On Sloane Street, learn about residents at Nell Gwynn House hailing from the Princely State of Kapurthala.

Continuing on to Royal Hospital Road, discover artefacts and memorials of the Battle of Chillianwallah (1849) at the Royal Hospital, before returning to the National Army Museum to explore items on display in the galleries.

This tour will start and end at the National Army Museum. It will last for approximately two hours.

About the guide

Rav Singh is the founder of A Little History of the Sikhs, a community initiative that works to translate research in modern-day Sikh history and heritage into walking tours in London, day trips in the South East of England and study visits to destinations in the UK and across Western Europe.
