Join the Chelsea Pensioner Singers and the Chelwest Singers as they combine forces at the Chelsea History Festival.
With a repertoire that includes some very popular and catchy tunes, there’s sure to be something you recognise. So, if you know the words, sing along!
The Chelsea Pensioner Singers have been performing together since 2014, initially simply for enjoyment and wellbeing within the Royal Hospital. In 2017, they were invited to sing at Christmas events in and around Chelsea, and in subsequent years at many other venues in London.
Last summer, the group was joined by The Chelwest Singers – a group of staff from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. These singers got together virtually in 2020 to help boost staff morale during a particularly difficult time for the NHS. They now try to sing together weekly, when shift patterns allow.
The groups are thrilled to have the opportunity to rehearse and perform together and to entertain audiences around the local area as part of the Chelsea History Festival.
