Join historian Robert Kershaw as he speaks with Robert Lyman on the subject of his major new history of the evacuation that asks what went wrong from the German perspective.
The speaker
Robert Kershaw joined the Parachute Regiment in 1973 and ultimately commanded 10 Para. He attended the German Staff College then spent a further two years with the Bundeswehr as an infantry, airborne and arctic warfare instructor.
Upon leaving the British Army in 2006, he became a full-time author and military analyst. He has published 12 books on military history and frequently writes magazine and newspaper articles.
