Chelsea Physic Garden is London’s oldest botanic garden with over 4,000 different medicinal, herbal, edible and useful plants. Founded by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London in 1673 for apprentices to study the medicinal qualities of plants, it is celebrating its 350th anniversary in 2023.
Throughout the Chelsea History Festival weekend, there will be lots of special activities for families to enjoy, including pond dipping, planting and storytelling. You will be able to meet different people from the past sharing their tales of medicine and horticulture.
Visitors can also learn about our diverse plant collection from all over the world and enjoy the delights of the Physic Garden Café.
Ticket holders can arrive at any point within their allocated timeslot.
